Elton reaparece em público na 8ª Gala Anual da EJ Aids Foundation, dia 16/11 em Nova Iorque.

Ainda um pouco abatido pelos problemas de saúde que teve recentemente, Elton mostrou disposição no evento da EJ Aids Foundation, nesta quarta, 16 em Nova Iorque.

Elton reapareceu em público pela primeira desde o seu internamento em um hospital de londres nesta quarta-feira, dia 16, durante a 8ª Gala Anual da Elton John AIDS Foundation, que visa recolher fundos de apoio à investigação e a vítimas da aids. Em meio a várias personalidades e estrêlas, o evento contou com a presença de Sharon Stone e Bill Clinton, que foram homenageados na cerimônia. Elton, ao lado do seu companheiro David Furnish, exibiu disposição aparentando estar praticamente curado da gripe e infecção sofridas. A festa teve lugar no famoso e badalado Cipriani, em Wall Street, Nova Iorque.

A História de Tonight

Foto de Maxine em 1971, época de seu casamento com Bernie.

A vida traz surpresas, e com Bernie não seria diferente. Quando se casou com Maxine Feibelman em 1971, Bernie jamais imaginou, que sua poesia veria os dois lados da moeda : a alegria e a dor. Tendo escrito Tiny Dancer para Maxine em 1971, Bernie a descreveu por inteiro em poesia, tanto que Elton ao ler aquela letra, não teve dúvidas de que se tratava de uma homenagem de seu amigo, a sua eterna musa. Mas como o mundo dá voltas, o ano de 1976 não foi tão bom para Bernie em termos sentimentais, seu casamento com Maxine estava chegando ao fim, e desta separação nasceu Tonight, uma letra triste, que retrata todo o sofrimento pelo qual ele passou, e que nas mãos de Elton virou uma linda canção e um grande sucesso. Abaixo, um vídeo de 1977 com Elton interpretando esta canção que fez parte do álbum Blue Moves de 1976.
